MelodiadelVino came to life in 2011: the idea behind the Festival is to share and spread the knowledge of the quality of Tuscan wine and the wonders of the Tuscan region, both in Italy and abroad. The events of the Festival unite these two concepts, with an organized program of classical music concerts held in some of the most prominent wine estates in Tuscany.

Last year the Festival hosted famous international artists including guitarist Emmanuel Rossfelder, Argentine pianist Nelson Goerner, Yulianna Avdeeva, Sergej Krylov, Giovanni Bellucci, Jérôme Ducros and Gautier Capuçon.

A key figure of the Festival is French pianist, Marc Laforet. Aside from being one of the guest performers at the Festival, he is also the creator of and the soul behind “Les Grands Crus Musicaux” (the French version of “MelodiadelVino”).

The musicians performed in wine estates and villas across the whole region of Tuscany: the Teatro Verdi in Florence, Villa Le Corti in Val di Pesa, Castello Banfi in Montalcino, Rocca di Frassinello in Maremma, Villa Fanini in Lucca and Tenuta Rocca di Montemassi in Roccastrada.

The 2011 edition of MelodiadelVino was met with huge success: the properties which staged the events are locations of breathtaking beauty, offering the perfect natural setting for the concerts. The classical music flowed across the surrounding landscapes to blur the borders of reality and art, while prestigious wines from the cellars were appreciated and savored, along with the territory itself.

Following the great success of last year’s Festival, MelodiadelVino is back again this year with unmissable performances and the finest wines.
